Injured Police Officers

Attorney Scott D. Goldberg is the Injured Police Officer’s Personal Lawyer

Since 1990, Attorney Scott Goldberg has been honored to represent police officers who suffer injuries both on duty and off. These officers  are members of the Boston Police Department, the Boston Police Patrolman’s Association (BPPA), the Boston Police Superior Officers Federation, and MassCop. Injured officers come from many different Boston Police Departments including patrol officers, homicide detectives, the Drug Control Unit, the Anti-Gang Unit, and all the Boston Areas, as well as civilian members. Because Attorney Goldberg is not affiliated with any union, he can personally represent each officer’s individual civil needs.

On-Duty Injuries and Compensation Beyond “Leave-With-Pay” Benefits

Did you know that if you are a police officer who has been injured while on duty, you may be entitled to benefits in addition to Leave-With-Pay? Attorney Goldberg can assist you in obtaining the benefits you deserve. If you are collecting Leave-With-Pay under G.L. c.41 s.111F, you may still be entitled to additional compensation – including money for lost overtime and detail pay, repayment of medical bills, scarring or permanent limitations, and pain and suffering. And in some circumstances you are not required to repay the city or town that is paying your leave with pay benefits.
